Decentralized waste water treatment

Decentralized waste water treatment is gaining in importance. Particularly in emerging and developing countries decentralization is the only economic solution due to a lack of infrastructure. In addition more and more remoted areas that depend on decentralized solutions will be developed for tourism.

Within the INHAND-Project VIS International develops combined technology for treatment of small and medium sized quantities of organically loaded waste water and biological waste in Vietnam. In this special plant concept an aerobic treatment step and an anaerobic sludge treatment is combined. In a first step of that special plant concept waste water will be processed aerobically and in a second step the surplus sludge mixed with organic waste such as plants and kitchen waste will be treated by production of biogas.

This process combination offers a sustainable wastewater/waste treatment solution for the use in villages, recreational facilities and hotel facilities.
